"World’s Largest Cruise Night" Highlights Incomparable Value of Cruising

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) is anticipating record cruise sales during World’s Largest Cruise Night, the centerpiece of National Cruise Vacation Month as vacationers across North America take advantage of irresistible special savings on 2008 and 2009 cruises. WLCN is Oct 16 and consumers may participate online or by attending special events and promotions at their nearest participating travel agency.

“World’s Largest Cruise Night is designed to rivet consumer attention on the incomparable value and variety of cruise vacations. Last year some 4,000 CLIA agents participated, generating an estimated 35,000 cruise bookings in a little more than a day. For consumers that meant significant additional savings on cruises that already offer the best value of any vacation available,” said Terry L. Dale, president and CEO of CLIA. “We urge everyone who is considering a vacation in the coming months to discover just how irresistible a cruise can be during World’s Largest Cruise Night.”
