Here at Cruise Diva, we love to discover interesting blogs and a new one hosted by Richard D. Fain, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., promises to be informative as well as fascinating. In this first entry last week, Fain confided that it took him five years to write his blog and that, "The idea of doing a blog scares the hell out of me." However, the subject is dear to his heart—the building of Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas.
How's he doing so far? Yesterday marked the addition of his second entry and it's a behind-the-scenes look at the work in progress aboard Oasis of the Seas at the shipyard in Turku, Finland. In One Cold Visit to Turku, not only does Fain offer a look at the progress on board, he also shares photos of the ship and cabins under construction at the cabin factory. He also says that he wished more than 27 loft suites were planned—they are that terrific.
For a good read and photos you won't see elsewhere, join Richard Fain at the Chairman's Blog.
PS—It's even cold in Turku, Finland in the summer. Trust me on that!
