Cirque Dreams® & Dinner Aboard Norwegian Epic: Demand Fuels New Menu & Increased Charges

With the launch of Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Cruise Line also introduced a one-of-a-kind theatrical dining experience, which takes place under the unique Spiegel Tent. NCL describes it as “opulent eccentricity alà entertainment extravaganza presented with an array of world class talent, Broadway acrobatics, a touch of whimsy, and tasteful participation.” It is, they say, “a world where personality and presentation are served with spectacle and celebration in an unforgettable dining sensation… Cirque Dreams® & Dinner.”

In a recent NCL webcast, Andy Stuart, Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Passenger Services, said passengers rave about the show, but the same couldn’t be said about the food. When passengers speak, NCL listens and the result is that Cirque Dreams & Dinner now has a tastier menu and new pricing. A salad trio that includes foie gras with fig chutney is now offered as a starter and the main course is surf ’n’ turf—grilled jumbo shrimp and beef tenderloin. Vegetarians will also find an option. The trio of desserts is a red velvet cupcake, flourless chocolate cake, and vanilla bean pot de crème with wild berries.

With increased demand also comes an increase in pricing. The new charges are $20 for general seating (up from $15) and $30 for premium seating (up from $20).

The new menu makes those of us here at Cruise Diva hungry and we look forwarding to a dinner and a show aboard Norwegian Epic this fall.
