Since we’ve been to St Barts several times, instead of spending a lot of time ashore today, I plan to take advantage of one of the semi-undiscovered spots to relax aboard Seabourn Sojourn. All the way forward on Deck 6 is a door leading to the bow and a seldom used hot tub. While at anchor today, it’s the perfect perch with the island’s lush green hillside as a backdrop.
Otherwise, there’s not a lot on the schedule today. Our shipmates will be pleased to find two trivia challenges, but there are no ballroom dance classes. I managed to trick Mel into participating in one the other day and he developed his own unique style of cha-cha that looks vaguely like a odd version of the shag.
After dinner we’ve been drawn to the Observation Bar where Lisa, the pianist from Jasper, Tennessee, plays everything from Broadway show tunes to Elvis favorites. The atmosphere is delightful and the music never too loud to drown out conversation. It’s our choice as the ideal spot for a nightcap.
Tonight though, there’s flambé being served poolside and dancing under the stars as Seabourn Sojourn doesn't raise the anchor to leave St Barts until 11:30pm, which offers anyone who wishes to do so the opportunity to dine ashore in one of the fine French restaurants.
Hoist the anchor.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the help. I couldn't think of the proper term and am having laptop difficulties. Otherwise, I hope you're enjoying the cruise with me. It's exceptional.
