Cruise Diva introduced you to the new Captain Morgan On The Rocks bar at Half Moon Cay when we visited there during our Nieuw Amsterdam cruise on January 26th. At that time I enjoyed a Pina Colada, but now they have some new cocktails featuring—you guessed it—Captain Morgan Rum!
Although we don't know where the "Myrtle Bank" name comes from, we love rum punch here at Cruise Diva's homeport and look forward to mixing up the tasty concoction in the recipe below. We plan to close our eyes, take a sip, and instantly be transported to Holland America Line's private island paradise.
MYRTLE BANK PUNCH
Ingredients:
2 oz Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum
2 oz pineapple juice
1/2 oz cherry liqueur
1/2 oz lime juice
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
1 lime wedge for garnish
Mix together and serve on the rocks in a hurricane glass. Enjoy!
Take any gin drink, including a martini, substitute a good rum, and in the opinion of all anonymouses, you have a better drink.
