Celebrity Cruises Shares A Caribbean Escape On Wall Street

Celebrity Cruises recently invited Kurt Wenner, the inventor of 3-D street art, to create an innovative art installation at the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate the anticipated arrival of the premium cruise line’s newest ship, Celebrity Silhouette. The ship will be sailing to the Caribbean out of Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ starting in November, allowing New Yorkers and tri-state area residents to start their vacation without taking a flight and maximizing their vacation time. New York Stock Exchange employees had fun “relaxing” on the hammock and “grilling” on what will be the industry’s first outdoor, interactive grill restaurant, called The Lawn Club Grill.

Now Celebrity has shared the following time lapse video that captures Wenner’s creative process, as well as the action as his 3-D street art develops and catches the imagination of passers-by. It’s pretty amazing and so true-to-life that you can almost hear sea gulls. However, since it’s set in New York, those would be pigeons. Plus, the winter coats on the people enjoying the The Lawn Club are a bit surreal.
