Discover America On A River Cruise

American Cruise Lines, operator of the newest riverboats and small cruise ships in the United States, has introduced its Discover America Cruise Collection™, an assortment of featured itinerary combinations and themes that showcase some of the United States’ most intriguing places, such as the American Heartland on the Mississippi River and the Wild West on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. In addition, the Discover America combination packages feature specialty pricing and travel credits on back-to-back cruise bookings.

Wild, Wild West (15 Days): Mississippi River and Columbia & Snake Rivers – This featured combination offered aboard two authentic paddlewheelers, will take guests on an unforgettable journey into the American Heartland and the Wild West. Aboard Queen of the West, guests will follow the rivers that helped shape the West, tracing the footsteps of the legendary explorers Lewis and Clark. Aboard the brand new Queen of the Mississippi, guests will travel back in time, experiencing life and travel on the river as Mark Twain did in days gone by. On both cruises guests will see history come alive while discovering the pristine beauty of the wild western frontier and the graceful South. The Coast to Coast cruise package begins on May 4, 2013.

 Great American River Run (22 Days): Mississippi River, Columbia & Snake Rivers, Great Rivers of Florida – American river cruising is here to stay! This classic American adventure elegantly brings guests through the impressive rivers and waterways of the American Heartland, Pacific Northwest, and the South, offering a complete discovery vacation for those seeking an alternative viewpoint, or an all-in-one exploration of the great United Sates. The Great American River Run begins on April 13, 2013.
