New "Adult" Beverage Packages For Royal Caribbean Cruisers

Considering their popularity on other cruise lines, it was only a matter of time until Royal Caribbean expanded their own onboard beverage program to include packages that add a selection of adult drinks in addition to wine. Wine packages, along with soft drink, water, or juice packages, have been offered by Royal Caribbean for some time now. The two new beverage packages, called the Classic Beverage Package and the Premium Beverage Package, make it possible for passengers to pay a flat price for a selection of alcoholic, as well as non-alcoholic, beverages for the entire cruise.

The charge for a Classic Beverage Package is $45 per passenger, per day. The Premium Beverage Package charge is $55 per passenger, per day. Charges for both packages include the service charge and packages must be purchased on the first day of the sailing.

Currently available on thirteen ships, the packages will be available fleetwide on ships with 7-night or longer itineraries early in 2013. The catch is that they are only available on cruises of seven or more nights and packages must be purchased by all guests 21 years old or older who are sharing the same stateroom.
