Since we live within a day's drive of south Florida embarkation ports, Mel and I often begin our cruise travel with a road trip rather than flying to port. We always spend a night in the area before departing on our cruises.We've stayed at many hotels in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami areas over the years and recently spent the night at one of our favorites, the Hyatt Regency Pier 66.
