Costa Cruises Has A Deal For Baby Boomers

With age comes privilege, and Costa Cruises is offering baby boomers lower fares on select European sailings with a "Senior Savings Spectacular" promotion on bookings made during May. The offer lets travelers 55 and older select among summer and fall 7- to 14-day itineraries for rates as low as $469 in the Mediterranean and $999 in northern Europe, per person, double occupancy.

Guests must be at least 55 years old and book through Costa's call center using the rate code "SENIOR." At the time of the booking guests must provide their date of birth to secure this promotion. Government taxes and fees apply.

"Many vacationers are booking getaways much closer to their travel dates, particularly baby boomers who have been relieved of their frantic work schedules," said Scott Knutson, vice president of sales and marketing for Costa Cruises North America. "Costa's Senior Savings Spectacular is designed to entice these travelers to enjoy the incredible sites, scenery, flavors and history of Europe at an amazing value."

Along with the Senior Savings Spectacular promotion, Costa recently launched Kids Free, a program for junior cruisers that enables families of four to sail for the price of two in the same cabin on select cruises. While each promotion stands on its own, combining the two creates an ideal vacation for multigenerational family travel.

In addition to sought-after travel itineraries and historic sites, Costa's fleet is renowned for its onboard amenities and international ambiance. Each ship offers true Italian-style cuisine and the latest in onboard entertainment, including the line's chocolate and coffee bars, Samsara spa, Grand Prix simulator, 4D theater and designer-brand shops. Between fine dishes, wellness menus and signature recipes, passengers also can enjoy culinary specialties from across the Italian peninsula.
