Regent Seven Seas Cruises Introduces New Social Media Enrichment Program

Guests who are new to social media or looking to enhance their social media savvy can return more connected with family and friends after a Regent Seven Seas Cruises voyage. The most inclusive, luxury cruise line today announced its new ‘Social Media Experience—Discover How To Share Great Stories’ enrichment program aboard 25 select voyages designated as Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ 25th anniversary celebration sailings. The new program will focus on using social media and digital photography and will help guests take and edit digital photos; create updates and tweets; share travel pictures and videos on popular social media platforms; learn about social media privacy—and more—as alternative ways to stay in touch with family and friends while traveling. Participating guests can then apply their knowledge and submit their photos to the dedicated anniversary celebration website Regent25.com.

“Regent Seven Seas Cruises takes guests to compelling and remote destinations aboard our fleet of the world’s four most luxurious ships,” said Jason Montague, President and CEO of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “There are countless picture-perfect moments and the Social Media Experience will help guests take advantage of Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ free and unlimited WiFi service to instantly share these unforgettable moments with family and friends at home.”

Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ social media and digital photography program will be a multi-session, shipboard and shore-side experience for novice and advanced users. The cruise line has invited social media experts to deliver the curriculum and co-host shore excursions that would be most colorful and exciting for social media postings and emailing home. Topics that also will be addressed in the onboard sessions include: Taking the Perfect Selfie, Editing and Filtering Photos; Creating Digital Videos; Facebook & Twitter Basics, Updating Privacy Settings.

“Social media has taken on a central role in how people communicate and we are helping guests better tap into that power. Guests can immediately put their new skills to use and connect with me on Facebook, where I answer questions, and feature our incredible crew and offer exclusive peeks into the Regent Seven Seas Cruises experience,” added Montague.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Social Media Experience is part of the cruise line’s year-long, 25th anniversary celebration. In addition to the shipboard enrichment program, Regent Seven Seas Cruises is rolling out the red carpet on select sea days and welcoming guests behind the scenes into the galley of Compass Rose for an exclusive and special lunch buffet. Guests aboard these 25 voyages also can join in special Silver Anniversary Tastings that will help guests better appreciate some exclusive vintages and premier spirits. Additionally, guests will receive a commemorative pin as a souvenir to mark their part in Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ milestone.

The celebratory 25 cruises take place across all four Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ ships, on a diverse array of itineraries and a varied number of lengths. Guests can journey across Europe on Seven Seas Explorer, heralded as the most luxurious ship ever built, or venture across Asia on the newly renovated Seven Seas Voyager; explore the natural wonders in Alaska aboard Seven Seas Mariner or traverse one of the man-made wonders of the world, the Panama Canal, aboard Seven Seas Navigator.
