Cruise Port Update: Hurricane Irma

In preparation for the arrival of Hurricane Irma, Port Miami, Port Everglades, Port Canaveral, and the Port of Tampa are now closed.

All JAXPORT terminals and offices (Jacksonville, FL) are now closed. Effective 8 a.m. today, U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port has established Port Hurricane condition YANKEE for the Port of Jacksonville. The U.S. Coast Guard will close the Port of Jacksonville at 8 p.m. tonight.

The South Carolina Ports Authority continues to very closely monitor the path of Hurricane Irma and anticipated weather conditions in the Port of Charleston. Based on current projections, the conditions in Charleston are expected to allow safe operations. Normal gate hours and vessel operations will continue, and all SCSPA facilities will remain OPEN until further notice. The safety of workers, facilities, and cargo are primary considerations. Any changes to our operational posture will be communicated just as soon as they are known.
