The six-episode series takes viewers to some of the world's most extraordinary destinations while providing a behind-the-scenes look at the navigational, technological, and operational aspects aboard floating state-of-the-art vessels.
For the first time, during the season finale this Sunday, October 8, Mighty Cruise Ships will journey to some of the hottest spots in the Caribbean aboard the stunning MSC Divina as it calls in Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Georgetown, Cayman Islands; Cozumel, Mexico; and Nassau, Bahamas.
"As MSC Cruises significantly expands its presence in North America, we are thrilled that the U.S. market and Smithsonian Channel viewers have the unique opportunity to get a behind the scenes at the impressive MSC Divina and the hard-working crew that ensure our guests have the ultimate vacation experience," said Roberto Fusaro, president of MSC Cruises USA. "In addition, it's extremely timely that the episode showcases some of the beautiful ports in the Caribbean. As some of the islands impacted by recent weather events focus on recovery efforts, travelers should know that MSC Cruises is committed to the Caribbean long term and that there are still many ports in the Caribbean—like the ones seen in the episode—that are open for business."
Viewers can experience MSC Divina and explore the same beautiful Western Caribbean destinations featured in the MIGHTY CRUISE SHIPS episode this fall. Upcoming 7-night sailings on MSC Divina with stops in Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Mexico and the Bahamas include departures from Miami on October 21, November 4, November 18, December 2, and December 16.
Inspired by the glamorous Sophia Loren, MSC Divina is divine—bringing elegance and glamour to the cruise experience with stylish features including Swarovski crystal staircases, glass elevators and European marble furnishes. Entertainment seen daily in the state-of-the-art Pantheon Theater is top notch, with 6 different world-class production shows on a 7-night cruise.
