Port Canaveral to Host Carnival Elation

Port Canaveral will be the homeport for Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Elation as they launch a new year-round schedule of four- and five-day cruises beginning May 12, 2019. Carnival announced that the newly renovated ship will encompass four-day “long weekend” cruises departing Thursdays to Freeport and Nassau and five-day voyages departing Mondays and Saturdays to Amber Cove and Grand Turk.

“Port Canaveral is proud of its partnership with Carnival Cruise Line and we look forward to welcoming Carnival Elation in 2019,” said Port CEO Capt. John Murray. “The announcement is another endorsement that our ongoing investments in state-of-the-art terminals and commitment to excellence in cruise operations continues to earn the confidence of some of the world’s most successful cruise brands.”

“We’re delighted to enhance our short cruise offerings from Port Canaveral with Carnival Elation, which emerged from dry dock better than ever with a host of food, beverage and entertainment options that our guests are sure to enjoy,” said Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line.

According to Carnival, the 2,130 passenger Carnival Elation recently underwent a massive makeover that included the addition of an expansive new WaterWorks aqua park, 38 new cabins, 98 balconies to existing staterooms, and a variety of exciting food and beverage concepts. These include Guy’s Burger Joint, the poolside RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar, Cherry on Top, a new Camp Ocean children’s play area, and a new miniature golf course. All staterooms were also renovated to include island-inspired interiors inspired by Carnival Elation’s tropical itineraries.
