Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest and most innovative ship, Norwegian Epic, will be a featured prize on the longest-running game show in television history, “The Price Is Right,” hosted by Drew Carey. As part of Travel + Leisure’s Travel Week, the episode will air today (Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television network.Two contestants will compete for the once-in-a-lifetime cruise vacation as one of the grand prizes during the show’s closing segment the “Showcase Showdown.” The lucky winner and three guests will receive a roundtrip flight from Los Angeles, California and embark on a 13-day Transatlantic sailing on Oct 23, 2011 from Barcelona, Spain to Miami. Ports of call on the Atlantic crossing include Ponta Delgada, Azores and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Norwegian Epic offers the ultimate in Freestyle Cruising with more than 20 dining options; the largest suite complex at sea; award-winning staterooms for solo travelers; world-class entertainment featuring Blue Man Group, Legends in Concert, Nickelodeon and Cirque Dreams® and Dinner; along with the first ice bar at sea; and much more.
No word on what category of accommodations the winner will receive, but all outside staterooms on Norwegian Epic feature a balcony so we are certain they will be pleased.
