Back in May we shared a photo here on the Cruise Diva blog of our stateroom aboard
Carnival Magic:
Home Away From Home. Interestingly, the immediate feedback from a reader asked the question, "Is that your actual cabin?" Yes, it was, although the furnishings, fittings, and color scheme on
Carnival Magic were essentially similar to her sister-ship
Carnival Dream and some earlier fleetmates. However, we subsequently learned that when
Carnival Breeze launches next year, her staterooms are taking on a new look that we shared in
Carnival Breeze’s Colorful New Staterooms.
Now that we've had the opportunity to see renderings of
Carnival Breeze's public rooms, to say we are impressed would be an understatement. First and foremost, gone are the themed areas of earlier ships. We actually liked many of them, but the themes were sometimes diluted beyond comprehension during ship refurbishments. As you'll see in these images, in their place is a fresher, brighter contemporary decor that we find quite pleasing. We love the breeze-y new atmosphere they create.

We'll have more images to share here tomorrow and will follow up when we learn about additional
Carnival Breeze features that will be unveiled in the future.
Carnival Breeze is scheduled to enter service June 3, 2012 with a special one-time voyage from Venice to Barcelona, positioning the vessel for a summer schedule of 12-day Mediterranean voyages through Oct 25, 2012. Following a 15-transatlantic crossing from Barcelona to Miami, Carnival Breeze will launch year-round 6- and 8-day Caribbean cruises from Miami Nov 24, 2012.
