Disney Cruise Line Received a Texas-sized Fanfare in Galveston

On Saturday, Sept 22nd, Disney Magic arrived in Texas, kicking off the Disney Cruise Line inaugural season sailing from the Port of Galveston. With a cowboy hat adorning Mickey's image on the funnel, the Lone Star flag displayed on the giant screen overlooking the pool, and characters and crewmembers lining the railing, the whole Disney gang is ready for some boot stomping fun.

To salute the arrival of Disney Magic to the Lone Star State, members of the Ghostriders equestrian drill team from Houston galloped nearby as the ship sailed into port.

In 2012 and 2013, Disney Cruise Line will sail from Galveston on a variety of itineraries to the Caribbean and Bahamas, with some cruises taking guests to the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney's private island, Castaway Cay.
