Queen Mary 2 Makes a Milestone 200th Transatlantic Crossing

Queen Mary 2 has completed her 200th Transatlantic Crossing, which departed New York for Southampton, England, on July 6, 2013 and to share this historic event with those of us who couldn't be on board, Cunard has released highlights from the flagship’s milestone Atlantic voyage in the video below.

With footage of the ship’s special sail-by of the iconic Statue of Liberty and the always anticipated sailing under the Verrazano Bridge, the video gives a sense of the majesty associated with such a voyage. In addition, Commodore Christopher Rynd makes an appearance to speak about this significant Crossing, which included lectures by Queen Mary 2’s Chief Naval Architect, Stephen Payne; and famed BBC broadcaster, Nick Owens; entertaining performances by Juilliard Jazz School musicians; and a grand, celebratory dinner.
