Guests onboard this vino-centric sailing will explore the flavors and history from one of the world’s most renowned wineries. Claudia Schug, who manages her family’s winery with her brother Axel, will be onboard the voyage to host two complimentary wine tastings. Schug will also host a Winemaker’s Dinner, where guests indulge in SeaDream’s award-winning cuisine paired with wines from Schug Carneros Estate Winery’s cellar. A different selection of wines will be offered for the Winemaker’s Dinner, an evening unique to the Wine Voyages; an unforgettable culinary experience that is incomparable to other wine cruises.
“We are excited to feature the Schug Carneros Estate Winery as a part of the 2018 Wine Voyages,” shares SeaDream Yacht Club President Bob Lepisto. “The estate is highly regarded in the world of wine and having the legendary family on our St. Thomas voyage creates a real draw. In addition, wine clubs are finding these voyages make an ideal group vacation.”
The Schug wine sailing will close the 2018 SeaDream Wine Voyage season, which features renowned wineries from around the world on voyages in both the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. The 7-day roundtrip sailing will embark from St. Thomas on November 17, 2018, and call at the boutique ports of St. John, U.S.V.I.; St. Barts, F.W.I.; Virgin Gorda, B.V.I.; Tortola, B.V.I. and Jost Van Dyke, B.V.I. before arriving back in St. Thomas on November 24.
On all SeaDream voyages, bar drinks and selected wine are complimentary. Wine packages by-the-glass during Winemaker’s dinner and Wine Land Adventures are offered for an additional cost. During the Wine Voyages, a representative from the visiting winery will be present, to host the scheduled wine tastings and the Winemaker’s Dinner.
