Cruise News: Disney Fantasy Naming Ceremony
Live! From New York! Well, not exactly live, but here's a snippet from the grand ceremony aboard Disney Fantasy last night that included celebrity performances, the introduction of a world-class crew, and the official announcement of the ship’s godmother, Mariah Carey.

What a clever way to christen the ship. It used to be done by the Godmother taking hold of the bottle and smacking the ship. Worked every time. Then with bigger ships the swings and trapezes used were (are) amusing. Every large ship has a drop down forward so the deck crew can direct line handling and manage the anchor. Minnie simply walked out (this did look like a bigger drop down) reached around and smashed the champaign. Good girl.
