Total Eclipse of the Sun to be Celebrated in Unique Style Aboard Carnival Cruise Line Ships

Leave it to Carnival Cruise Line to find a unique and creative way to celebrate the upcoming total eclipse of the sun set for Monday, August 21, at approximately 2 p.m. EDT.

To mark this truly rare and fascinating astronomical event—which is the result of the alignment of the sun, Earth and moon to block sunlight from reaching the Earth—Carnival Cruise Line is offering a number of activities across its fleet, everything from eclipsed-themed viewing and sailaway parties complete with appropriate music, games, and more to a Sun Dance Competition with participants vying to “bring out the sun” on deck. In keeping with the spirit of the eclipse, specials on Blue Moon beer will be available throughout the event.
