“Cunard is a brand of ‘firsts,’ and this premiere is certainly no exception,” said Josh Leibowitz, Senior Vice President, Cunard North America. “We’re proud to roll out the red carpet on Queen May 2 and to invite 20th Century Fox and their esteemed guests on board our flagship, and we’re excited to be able to give Cunarders and fans worldwide a front row seat to all the action.”

Debuting in theatres on December 20, “The Greatest Showman” is an original musical which tells the story of visionary P.T. Barnum and how he created the Barnum & Bailey Circus. During his life, P.T. Barnum sailed multiple times on various Cunard ships to cross the Atlantic between New York and England. Scenes from the movie were shot in the original U.S. headquarters of Cunard, a magnificent Italian Renaissance-style landmark building located at 25 Broadway in lower Manhattan. In addition, many scenes were shot in Brooklyn, Queen Mary 2’s U.S. homeport.
