My parents had their renewal of vows ceremony onboard the Diamond Princess back in June 2006. It was an experience like none other. The captain performed the ceremony and even though it was my parents and my sister and I, it was one for the books. There was a webcam set up by the cruiseline so that family members who were not with us could participate in watching something magical. After the captain finished the vows ceremony, my sister and I were allowed to sasy a few words. We shared with them how special it was to be there on the day they were "getting married" again. We then were allowed to recite a song the my parents claimed as one of their songs. Of course then everyone started to cry, including the Captain! It truly was a once in a limetime event and I am sure my parents would not have done it any other way. Thank you Princess Cruise Lines for letting my family and I share something so special!!!
