Here in the United States it's Labor Day, a nationwide holiday set aside to honor those who work for a living. Sadly, some of us lose sight of the importance of their labors and simply think of it as a three-day weekend for cookouts and other leisurely pursuits that signal an end to summer.While you're enjoying burgers and hot dogs prepared on the grill today, take a moment to think about the hard working men and women who made your last cruise vacation so special and stress free. Those crewmembers work long hours seven days a week, often missing holidays in their homelands and the significant events with their families that we take for granted.
If you are celebrating Labor Day aboard a cruise ship, don't forget offer the crew your sincerest smiles and thank yous for jobs well-done.
