PortMiami Will Welcome Seven Seas Explorer For Its North American Debut

Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ new Seven Seas Explorer, designed to be the world’s most luxurious cruise ship, will make its North American debut by sailing into the cruise capital of the world, Miami, on Dec. 2, 2016. As part of its inaugural Caribbean season, the all-suite, all-balcony, 750-guest luxury cruise ship will sail two round-trip voyages from PortMiami to island oases before heading west on a Panama Canal cruise.

After sailing its maiden voyage from Monte Carlo on July 20, 2016, Seven Seas Explorer will sail 10 destination-rich Mediterranean itineraries before traversing to North American on a 16-night Atlantic Retreat voyage from Rome to Miami. From Miami, the ship will embark on a 14-night Serene Islands roundtrip voyage on Dec. 4 followed by a 10-night Caribbean Dawn roundtrip on Dec. 18. Seven Seas Explorer will ring in the New Year with a 16-night Grand Canal Crossing from Miami to Los Angeles with stops throughout the Caribbean and Central America.

Seven Seas Explorer has been a labor of love for our CEO, Frank Del Rio, Executive Vice President of Vessel Operations, Robin Lindsay and the entire Regent Seven Seas Cruises team, so it’s exciting to have this ship, the most luxurious ship ever built, make its North American debut in our hometown of Miami,” said Jason Montague, President and Chief Operating Officer for Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “With two round-trip sailings from Miami and a maiden Panama Canal cruise, we’re providing guests the opportunity to experience the unprecedented luxury Seven Seas Explorer will offer with the convenience of departing from a domestic homeport.”
