Carnival Cruise Lines Fun Is Coming To Charleston

Carnival Cruise Lines, which will launch Charleston, South Carolina’s first year-round cruise program this spring is coming to town on Saturday, March 27th to offer the largest outdoor attraction at the Cooper River Bridge Run Festival—a gigantic 40-foot-high inflatable slide.

Jumbo-sized slides are a signature element of Carnival’s “Fun Ships” and the cruise line is bringing its own version of this fun attraction to the Cooper River Bridge Run Finish Festival to commemorate the Carnival Fantasy’s new year-round service from Charleston beginning May 18th.

Carnival will be donating $1 to the MUSC Children’s Hospital for every rider who goes down the slide, with a total donation of up to $5,000. The fun begins directly after the Cooper River Bridge Run at the Finish Line in Marion Square Park, Charleston.

Carnival Fantasy will operate 5-, 6-, and 7-day Bahamas/Key West cruises from Charleston, carrying an estimated 140,000 passengers annually from the port.
