Cruise News: Carnival Triumph "Under Arrest"?

We hope this is an early April Fool's joke gone bad, but Bloomberg and CND's Cruiseblogger have reported that "a Texas judge has ordered Carnival Triumph arrested when it returns to Galveston on Saturday (March 31, 2012)."

Apparently the situation is related to a $10 million lawsuit filed by the family of a German passenger who died aboard the Costa Concordia shipwreck off the Italian coast in January. Carnival Triumph is operated by Carnival Cruise Lines and Costa Concordia was operated by Costa Crociere; both lines are Carnival Corporation brands.

This is shaping up to be a long weekend with a lot of bad news.
